  • Please Please come to Bakersfield California. I would love to talk with you

  • The traditional diet of Asians is just rice and vegetables? Really? For sure they also ate some meat, seafood, and vegetable oil.

Does Dr. McDougall know how sumo wrestlers get fat? Yup, they eat lots of udon noodles and rice.

When it comes to bariatric surgery, patients seem to reverse their type 2 diabetes long before they lose a substantial amount of weight.

I don't understand when he admits that a low carb high fat diet with lots of meat and dairy can cure type 2 diabetes and other risk factors, but then claims the same diet can CAUSE type 2 diabetes. Then he claims that the reduction of risk factors from a LCHF diet is not healthy because chemotherapy can induce similar reductions in risk factors. He claims that a LCHF diet and chemotherapy reduce the risk factors by the same mechanism, but doesn't provide any proof of this claim. He also claims his starch diet reduces all the same risk factors. Perhaps HIS diet works by the same mechanism as chemotherapy.

So, all the studies that show an association between meat/dairy consumption and type 2 diabetes are contradicted by what happens if a type 2 diabetic switches to a diet of mostly meat/dairy. I reversed my type 2 diabetes by eating mostly fatty meat/dairy. That was a couple of years ago. My blood glucose is still normal. All the fat I'm eating has not caused insulin resistance. Just the opposite, actually.

His idea that humans are "starchivores" is not based on anything except his own speculation.

"Coconuts are almost unopenable because they're so rich." What???? Is that an example of his logic?

Potatoes come from the Americas and until 400 years ago were not part of the human diet outside of the Americas. It's interesting that he thinks they have always been part of the human diet.

I would like to thank Dr. McDougall because I gave my best friend who is a type 2 diabetic this and other videos by Dr. McDougall. My friend adopted a pure plant based diet, eliminated processed oils, and had such a dramatic shift in blood sugar levels that he had to cut back his medications during the first week. For myself, I have been inspired by Dr. McDougall and many of his colleagues to heed the overwhelming epidemiological evidence for plant based diets. I began in February 2016 with plant based, eliminated all oils at the end of June, and now, as of August, I have lost 28 lbs. and am going in for a blood test. Will be excited to see how my cholesterol looks!

  • My blood sugar has been so stable now, thanks to this material [Go Here=== https://plus.google.com/103104504697614349821/posts/2VqoEcsa1Qr ]. I am a type 2 diabetic and have been on drugs, but still could not bring my sugar to a stable level which is due to having no good diet plan. Now with a good diabetic-friendly diet plan I can have my life back and so full of energy. This is the most exhaustive information I have ever seen. Go the diabetic-friendly diet and win the blood sugar battle.

  • I have time and time again slipped in maintaining my healthy diet plan. I so much appreciate this material [Go here=== https://plus.google.com/102443457991099589207/posts/4xio2WyZm3Z ]. I have a type 2 diabetes which I look forward to getting rid of it through the right medications and healthy diets, but I seem to be losing the battle. And this book have really become a source of inspiration, much more my knowledge on this subject has increased tremendously. A recommendable one.

  • Very good talk. I have listened to many of Dr. McDougall's talks. One "takeaway" that I get from Dr. McDougall's books and videos, as well as Dr. Ornish's, Dr. Klapper's, and many others is that it is what we TAKE AWAY from our diet that makes us healthier, if we take away the right things. We need to develop a subtraction paradigm for fixing Western health problems. But, paradoxically, when we change to a healthier way of eating we also find that there are so many new foods we can eat that we were never really aware of. So in a way, by becoming a healthy vegan we are actually adopting an addition paradigm. This really works, and I love all the new foods I have discovered.

  • I started you diet plan since 2 months.I am type 2 diabetic since 5 year.I skip medicine but now when I checked my blood sugar it is 500.why this vegan diet plan not working on me?

  • If I'm not mistaken Bill Clinton is a vegan and he seems to be doing pretty well after major heart surgery awhile ago.

  • I love Dr John McDougall is one of the best doctors….he has helped so many people!

  • >>> The Diabetes Destroyer saved my Iife! My heaIth was getting worse and worse. And it seemed like my diabetes medication wasn’t doing anything. When my doctor started warning me about amputating my foot, I knew I had to make a change. That’s when I found Diabetes Destroyer. I foIIowed the 3 simple steps, and all of a sudden I had the energy I needed again. I went back to my doctor a few weeks later, and he was shocked at how heaIthy I was. I haven’t needed my diabetes medication for months! >>>

  • At 1h 7m he shows a slide of one of his "successes" with a blood pressure of 142/84, and calls it "pretty darn good". 142 is what the AHA calls stage 1 hypertensive and even the diastolic at 84 is in the prehypertensive stage. Not really all that darn good. He flipped to the next slide quickly before anyone could call him out on it. Blood sugar wasn't that great either, and this is a "cured" diabetic?

  • This is just not convincing.

  • This man is full of opinions, but doesn't offer any detailed physiological analysis to back them up. Carbohydrates are the main source of body-fat. Ingested carbs -> blood glucose -> insulin -> fat deposits. Ingested fat goes to the liver to be broken down. It doesn't go into the blood as glucose. Where are these 'studies' that show that high fat intake leads to high cholesterol leads to heart disease?

  • Guys. lost a ton of weight doesn't need to be hard (I used to think it did). I'm going to give you some advice now. Get a popular weight loss secrets called Fenoboci Diet Plan (google search it). Thanks to it I've lost crazy amounts of weight. I shouldn't even be speaking about it cause I don't really want lots of other guys out there running the same game but whatever. I am just simply in a great mood right now and so I'll share the wealth haha.

  • Type 2 Diabetes is nothing more than the lack of minerals. Vanadium and chromium supplements and a low carb diet, has helped thousands of people. Within 90 days on a program like that most are back to normal blood sugar readings.

Lean meat like chicken, turkey and some fish is important. Pork is the worst meat in the class. No fried food of any kind or oils (salad dressing etc.) should be consumed by the person who is trying to cure themselves of type II.

  • NOT ALWAYS!!  My husband is 6' 3" and 178…. and has been diabetic for 21 years… he is 63… people always say that diabetes is a fat persons disease…. would love to talk to Dr. MDougall about it….

  • ln a nationwide study by the Diabetes Prevention Program, simple diet-and-Iifestyle changes beat the pants off the leading glucose-lowering drug (metformin) — performing TWICE as weIl as the medication!

  • 26;32 sugar makes diabetes better
as long as no fat no protein of animal and dairy product i believe?….

  • All the indigenous people that worship the potato season. worship it for a reason.
